We are having guests this week! :)
It's great to receive people, this time it's friends from Canada. They are staying a few days and so far it's be really fun.
I think having family over is different because you feel obliged to take them on field trips and Paris tours, whereas friends have a life of their own, so we get to see them in the evening and spend good times, but we also get time for just Mr L and I. :)
Thursday was the celebration of Ascension, which is a bank holiday in France, and most offices do what is called a "bridge" so they also skip Friday and most employees get a 4 days week end.
In other news I had a date yesterday with Mr L, we went to see a movie.
Honestly I don't actually like going to movies. I enjoy them just as much (or little) on a computer screen or on tv at home and I don't like too much the pop corn smell and bits that comes with going to the theater.. But anyway.
Yesterday was different. The place we went had special seats, that go by 2 and you can lift up the middle arm rest to cuddle :) So this was a first good point.
Then they had a special price: 3.50€ per person! Second good point that made my day (I do not like spending 8$/person on a movie..)
and lastly we saw a fun movie! Date night.( a good review of the movie)
It was surprisingly good.
I didn't have high expectations, I can't watch the office for example.. well I can but I don't laugh so I saw maybe one episode.. But I saw Dan in real life and I liked it.
What I liked about date night is that the couple was really genuine, it was not fake fighting, they were real characters, and not only shallow sitcom puppets. I really appreciated that depth. Then nothing was too shocking. I mean you get some sex jokes and suggestive moves but it was done in a very funny way, non offensive for my goody-two-shoes standards.
So to sum it up I went to the theater and had a good time. I'm happy about that! :)

Sounds like a fun week! Maybe I'll have to give that movie a shot.
