D-23

I'm pathetic.
This morning I spent 1/2h in the shower, I was thinking of how we are going to surprise my parents when we arrive in France, and before I knew it 1/2 had past...
And this past hour I spent on marmiton, browsing recipes with cheese (like fondues, melted breaded cheeses..).
Everyday that passes makes me even more excited!

This past week-end was special.
Friday night we went to see the Nutcracker, my first time at a ballet. It was absolutely splendid, beautiful, magic and eerie. I loved it!
On this page you can see a too short video that gives you an idea of how wonderful it was. Really, it was beyond what I expected.
My favorite moment was the snow scenery. All of it was fantastic though. But the snow part was even more special to me. They had little kids dressed as christmas trees, carrying candles, there was a fabulous duet of dancers on stage, and some kind of snow effect. It just took my breath away.

Oh and there was also this giant doll, full of kids, it was just awfully cute!

After the show we went to a hotel downtown, the same where we first talked about getting married :) We had many plans for the week end!
But Mr L screw his back, not on purpose, trust me! He just woke up and couldn't move. :( It happens yearly in the winter.. It was so bad he couldn't even stand up or walk or anything. So he spent the day in bed, and I spent the day getting food and stuff and bringing it back to the room. We also watched movies from his laptop.
Thankfully it got better as the day passed. Well by better I mean he could go to the bathroom by the end of the day, with an umbrella as a cane!
We joked that for his 26th birthday I could get him a new walker.. ;)
Sunday was a little better so we took advantage of the aleve effect to take a cab home and spent an other resting day watching movies, but this time I got to cook dinner at home (much cheaper and healthier!)
Last time he was better after about a week, and about back to normal within 2 or 3 weeks, so hopefully this will not be different.
I must say it was almost lucky that it happened before we took the plane, sufficiently ahead that he may have recovered by the time we go..

How fun that you visited the ballet! My mom used to take me to the Nutcracker as a child.

I hope your husband feels better soon and that you both have a wonderful Christmas!
