It all started great: a beautiful Sunday, entirely off, and the feast of Christ King.

It's one of my favorite celebration at Church.
I love it because there is nothing really special, but we celebrate the end of the liturgical year with the mysetry of the Kingdom. It's already here, but also yet to come...
So I was happy about that. I planned on going to the cathedral for the occasion.
Usually for week ends I go to mass on Saturdays at work, and on Sunday I go with my husband to a Presbyterian service.
My husband forgot about it, I'm not very good at reminding him either.. So I end up going to my local parish at 11 AM.
My local parish, on the feast of Chirst King, was celebrating Our Lady, mother of the divine providence. It's a Puertorican tradition. And the mass started at 10AM, so being 15 min early I was actually very late.
So I finally went to the cathedral in Manhattan. The priest was talking so fast I could barely follow. I couldn't even catch up the creed.
I was a little sad because I tend to interpret celerity in mass as disrespect or lack of interest.
I guess I was just sad because it was a great feast for me, but nobody else shared my joy and excitement...
So anyway after walking 30 blocks (looking for a dunkin donut to celebrate privately) I went back home (no dunkin donut on 3rd av in Manhattan) thinking about it...
I guess it's probably better that way. Jesus is not a king of glory, but the Prince of Peace. :)
My day end up being pretty good. I spent the evening with my husband, we did a thanksgiving decoration :)
It actually looks more like a bug. We had a good laugh!!
