chaussettes rouges

I love baseball, that may be the third reason for me to stay in the USofA...
Baseball is just so fun, geeky and passionate!
I came to enjoy baseball in watching the red sox. No other team gives me that thrill :)
Look at yesterday.
3-1 on the ALCS, 7th inning behind with 7-0
and they came back. Wining 8 to 7 with a home run in the last inning, with 2 outs... Just plain beautiful.
Never give up, believe till the end. :)
So I have a theory. My fellow baseball fans tell me what you think...
I don't know all teams, but I know the feeling I get at ANY red sox game. And that's just for watching from a pub... I feel a wonderful pleasure of playing. I think these guys are having fun, enjoying their game. And fans are having such a good time watching it. I personally think is due to our 86 years of wait, with many deceptions... After waiting for so long you take what you get. I live about 20 blocks away from the Yankee Stadium (now belated Yankee Stadium) and I've not met a happy fan, even on good days. I've met proud fans, smug fans, arogant fans, talkative fans, a friendly fan, and a bunch of drunk fans. Not a happy one :( It's like they want more than they can get.
I'm so happy that we got one more game Saturday. I dare believe more than that, but the game yesterday let us for sure 9 more innings of pitching and batting, 9 more innings of crazy stats to calculate!!
I love baseball, I love the Red Sox!!
GO RED SOX!

(the earrings that my boyfriend brought me from a business trip to Boston. I knew he was the one that day... ;) )
