I am very excited because one of our goals for 2011 is to pay off debts.
I am so happy about it!!
I'm, excited for many reasons:
-well getting rid of debts...
-a bit more control about our spending habits
-the challenge to stay on budget
-finally getting some savings
-planning around our monthly allowance for gifts and big projects
-feeling useful. If we have a set budget for food then my cooking-with-little skills become interesting, not just boring :)
I already have plans and lots of ideas, I am really excited about this year!!
I hope to do a weekly menu like on the grocery cart challenge for breakfast and dinners and get more ideas from the simple dollar website.
I already made a list of people I want to make special crafts for and a plan to do it during the year so I don't end up with 7 Christmas projects in November..
Other goals for me are:
-do the 30 days shred. 30 days in a row. I did 6 days in a row but then we went to Bruxelles and the Hotel room was way too small to exercise.. and since then, well motivation is hard to find and when I finally start the baby wakes up.
-finish to read the Bible. I started in September with online friends and we are currently reading the book of Samuel. I have a few chapter to catch up already: half of Deuteronomy and 7 chapters of Judges (same Bruxelles' trip..) and the gospel of St Mark. But I'm hanging there and very motivated to finish it.
I even already think about next year.. maybe I'll have the time to actually comment each day ;)
-have a no screen day once a week. No computer at all that day, so no streaming and no music :/ I think it would be good for me.
Ultimately I'd like to get to the point where I go online only when the baby sleeps, so he doesn't see his parents online 24/7 and grows up with a healthier idea about human relationships and ways of socializing.. ;) ultimately meaning probably not for an other couple years.
-oh and one more goal.. get that driver's license.. oops I almost forgot that one.. Need to look for that motivation again.. If you found it please send it back to me!

Those sound like great goals! 1 Samuel is one of my favorite books of the Bible. Very exciting to be getting out of debt. It feels SO good to not have car or credit card payments!
