It felt so good to see the family, and go around in the country :)
I had a great time, and really enjoyed myself.
The first week was quite stressful because of all the wedding preparations. We did a second wedding celebration for the family, it was quite nice!

Actually it went way better than I imagined!!
The two best decisions (both from Mr L. I must say):
-hire a jazz band.
-hire a photographer.
For the food we got help from the family and we got some cartered food (not a traditional carterer, just an order of sandwiches and munchies form the baker).
The band and the photographer really made a HUGE difference.
We got the perfect music (jazz manouch and crooner music :) ) without having to worry about the playlist, about turning the volume up or down for each song, and the guys with their instruments were a blast. Everyone LOVED them!!

Then the photographer took all pictures so we can send them to friends and family, and more than anything he was the pretext for an announcement at church, I asked that people DON'T take pictures during mass, so we can all focus on the ceremony. And it was great. It was actually prayerful.

I have some bad memories of weddings where people are not very respectful of the praying atmosphere...

Welcome back! It all looks lovely, I'm glad it went smoothly. :-)
Thanks for sharing these pictures. I love them.
What a lovely wedding. I've been to France once, but I was pregnant at the time with my third daughter. I went up the Eifel tower without a problem. I wouldn't have missed it for anything.
Family there? You lucky girl!
What beautiful pictures! Thanks for sharing. That church is gorgeous. Whenever I see pictures like that I'm so jealous. I was an atheist when I got married so we just had our "wedding" in a theater. We wrote our own vows, the ceremony was less than 10 minutes, and I wore a dark purple dress. How I would have loved a Catholic wedding!
God bless you guys!
