20 years ago a wall fell and made history. I remember it very well.
Funny because when I type 20 years ago about something I remember, I feel so old... Hmm not so much!! I was 5 years old!!
5 was that age from which on I remember things. Before my memories are blank. But 1989 and on are clear memories. I remember celbrating the bicentenial of French Revolution. We did a play in Kindergarten with costumes. We learned songs (I remember a couple lyrics about Louis XVI making keys...).
And then in November when the wall fell my parents were watching tv, the news, like every night. But that night was different. My mom was tear-eyed. I was sitting under the dinning table (it was my fort) playing with dolls, and she told me " Look Tiphaine, this is history. Remember this day because it is important." And I saw a crowd of people dancing and singing on tv. And a violin, and fireworks, and people rushing through a wall. And I couldn't understand why today they could cross the wall but the day before they couldn't. It looked like a very happy celebration.
Thank you mom for pointing this out to me. I still remember. What a day!

(My mom is a history teacher. The best if you ask me)
